Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph (Rose Mary) Oborny, 76, 1818 Jackson, will be conducted in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Msgr. Steve Reif officiating. Mrs. Oborny died about midnight Saturday in a rest home in La Crosse, where she had been a patient six months. Born June 18, 1889 in Republic County, she and her husband had farmed near Timken before moving to Great Bend 15 years ago. She married Joseph F. 0borny Jan. 19, 1915 in Pilsen. Mrs. Oborny was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include the widower; daughters, Mrs. Hubert Gerstenkorn, Timken; Mrs. Edward C. Vsetecka, Great Bend; Mrs. Frank Suchy, Emporia; Mrs. Joseph A. Vsetecka, WaKeeney; brothers, Otto Kortz, Marion; Joseph Krotz, Belleville; Frank Krotz, Durham; sisters, Mrs. Eena Jacobs, Durham; Mrs. Anna Addie, Oregon; 21 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Cook and Weber Funeral Home, Great Bend. Great Bend Daily Tribune August 16, 1965
