EMPORIA - Rosie A. Suchy, 73, died Sept. 27, 1993, at the Newman Memorial County Hospital, Emporia. She was born March 20, 1920, at Rush Center, the daughter of Joseph F. and Rosa Krotz Oborny. An Emporia resident since 1964, moving from Great Bend, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the former Plymouth HDU. On Nov. 8, 1938, she married Frank F. Suchy Jr. at Timken. He survives. Other survivors include: four sons, Kenneth L., Emporia, Robert E., Raleigh, N.C., Duane F., Tulsa,Okla., and Daniel R., San Salvador Island, Bahamas; two daughters, Beverly A. Fenwick, Lamed, and Janice L. Harper, Topeka; two sisters, Mary Gerstenkorn, Great Bend, and Elsie Vsetecka, WaKeeney; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Kansas Arthritis Foundation in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Hutchinson News September 29, 1993
