Memorial services for Betty Brandl, 94, of Creighton will be held Thursday, Sept. 4 at 10:30 at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. The Reverend Garry Welsh will officiate with inurnment in the parish cemetery. She died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at Plainview Manor. Elizabeth "Betty" Brandl, daughter of George and Mary Brandl was born Jan. 17, 1914 at Humphrey. She graduated from Bloomfield High School. After graduation, she went to work in Omaha at Walgreen's, where she managed a soda fountain. She also worked at Tip-Top, which was a manufacturer of curlers and other beauty items. Betty was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ed and Norris. Survivors included her brothers, Percy of Creighton and Eugene of Douglas, WY and sisters, Henrietta of Denver and Elvera of Omaha. ...The Creighton News 3 Sept 2008
