Funeral Held Saturday for George Brandl, 74 Funeral services for George Brandl, 74, who passed away at his home east of town Thursday, Aug. 27, were conducted Saturday morning at St. Ludger Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Schneider officiating. Interment was in St. Ludger Cemetery. George Brandl was born in Germany on March 28, 1885. He moved from Cornlea to the place east of Creighton in 1926. Surviving are his wife; seven children, Elizabeth Brandl and Mrs. Peter Kaufmann of Omaha, Ed Brandl of North Platte, Mrs. E.L. McBride of Las Vegas, N.M. Eugene Brandl of Wausa, Norris and Percy Brandl of Creighton; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers, all of whom live in the Humphrey vicinity. ...The Creighton News 3 Sept 1959
