Herald Coaster, April 14, 2004: Funeral services for Jane Kucera, of Fairchilds, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. James Ramsey of St. Michael's Catholic Church will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Jane was born April 29, 1910 in Ellinger, to Emil Buzek and Anna Volek Buzek. She passed away April 13, 2004 in Richmond. Jane loved her animals, gardening, exchanging flowers, traveling and fishing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kucera; son, Joe Kucera Jr.; daughters, Jean Earp, and Margaret "Cookie" Kasmir; grandson, Eugene Gurecky; parents Emil and Anna Buzek; and sisters, Martha Dry and Millie Strother. Jane is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Gurecky; sons, Arnold Kucera and wife Earline, Leonard Kucera and wife Janell, M.A. "Butch" Kucera and wife, Sharlet; daughter-in-law Marie Kucera; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. For those wishing, memorials may be made in Jane's name to your favorite charity or church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F.
