Bio

Bessie was the daughter of Calvin Webb (Cab) Wallis and Athie Lena (Bishop) Wallis. Bessie Lou Wallis was born 26 January 1893 in Collin County, Texas, and died there on 16 May 1971. She married Isaac Duffy Wallace in Cobb County, Georgia, on 28 December 1912. He was born in Cobb County, Georgia, on 01 July 1889, the son of Toliver Watson Wallace (1848-1896) and Eliza Jane (Rainey) Wallace Gregory (1862-1911). Bessie's father (Calvin Webb Wallis) and Issac Duffy's father (Toliver Watson Wallace) were brothers, even though they spelled their surnames differently. Wallis was used alternately with Wallace among family members.
