Bio

Millie Ola (Wallis/Wallace) first married John Charles Samuels on 29 April 1906, Collin County, Texas. They had three known children: Jessie, Charles H. [memorial #11785027] and Homer R. [mem. #32680164]. Millie married Samuel Trower Dawson second. They had no known children. McKinney Courier-Gazette - 12 Dec 1967, p. 5 Mrs. Dawson passes away in rest home. Mrs. Millie Ola Dawson, 1306 E. Greenville, died in a rest home Saturday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Turrentine-Jackson chapel, Keith Shrum, officiating with burial in Pecan Grove cemetery. She was a member of the East Christian church, McKinney. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Hunt of Lubbock; son, Howell R. Samuels of McKinney, [missing number] grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. T. L. Hardin [Maggie] and Mrs. I. D. Wallace [Bessie], both of McKinney. Her husband, Sam Dawson, and a son, Charles H. Dawson [Samuels], preceded her in death.
