The Tampa Tribune, 03 Oct 1976, p. B-11, col. 5 Mr. Jesse Dameron, 67, of Tampa, formerly a resident of Birmingham, Ala. passed away Saturday morning. Private funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the F. T. Blount Company Funeral Home, 5101 Nebraska Avenue with H. C. Stringfellow, retired associate pastor of the Northside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family has requested that flowers please be omitted. A native of Marietta, Ga., Mr. Dameron had resided in the Tampa area since 1947. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy and had been associated with Amce [sic] Tire Company and Tampa Tire and Recappers for the past 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rachel Dameron, Tampa; one son, Ronald Dameron, Tampa; one daughter, Mrs. Gene B. King, Tampa; his [step-] mother, Mrs. Lula Ballard, Birmingham, Ala.; one [step-]brother, Albert R. Dameron, Bremerton, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Sue Ingram, Mobile, Ala.; Mrs Dean Scarbrough [step-sister], Tampa; and Mrs. Faye Hammonds [step-sister], Birmingham, Ala. and 6 grandchildren.
