"Mrs. Clara E. Simmons --- Mrs. Clara e. Hackett Simmons, 81, of 1609 S. 52nd Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas, died Saturday at a nursing home at 6515 W. 103rd, Overland Park. She was born in Rich Hill, MO, and had lived in this area 60 years. Mrs. Simmons was a clerk for Armour & Co. 40 years before she retired in 1961. She was a member of unity Church on the Plaza. She was a member of the Armour Girls Social Club. "She leaves a son, Virgil Ainsworth, 1000 N.E. 71st, Gladstone; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Dahlke, 1614 S. 52nd Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery."
