Thanks to contributor #48796369 Josephine M. Codr, 94, of Prague, formerly of Linwood, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at South Haven House Living Center in Wahoo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Cedar Hill, with the Rev. David Davis officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at the church. Kucera Funeral Home in Prague is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Codr was born March 19, 1911, in Abie, to Henry and Catherine (Ourada) Gruntorad. She married Cyril Codr Aug. 29, 1934, at Cedar Hill. They farmed near Linwood until retiring to Prague. She had resided at South Haven House Living Center for nearly seven years. She was a member of the church, Altar Society and Zenska Jedenota. She formerly attended St. John's Church in Prague. She enjoyed gardening. Survivors include one son, Bernard Codr of Linwood; five daughters, Dorothy (William) Pokorny of Bellevue, Bernice (Ernest) Pollvka of Lincoln, Eleanor (Julius) Pelan of Schuyler, Regina (Dwight) Duncan of Columbus and Henrietta (Anthony) Kliment of Prague; one sister, Georgia Codr of Prague; one daughter-in-law, Marie Codr of Schuyler; 32 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; one son, Donald Codr; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Pavelka and Mary Karmazin; and seven brothers, James, Henry, infant Joseph, Adolph, Otto, Rudolph and Joseph Gruntorad.
