Herald Coaster, February 20, 1994: Funeral services for Leon H. Mikolas, 67, of Sugar Land, were held 10 a.m. Saturday at Davis Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 at US 59) in Rosenberg. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. A rosary service was 8:15 p.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Deacon David Mitchell officiated the services. Leon H. Mikolas was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Fort Bend County. He died Feb. 17 in Sugar Land. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and served in the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Mikolas of Sugar Land; a son and his wife, Johnny L. and Kim Mikolas of Needville; sisters, Bessie Diehl of Richmond, Nattie Huey of Houston, and Lillian Poret of Houston; brothers, Harry Mikolas of Richmond and Theo Mikolas of Rosenberg; and grandchildren, Bradley and April Mikolas of Needville. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
