Herald Coaster, April 11, 2005: A funeral mass for Harry Mikolas, 69, of Richmond, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. Fourth St. in Richmond, with the Rev. Don Schwarting as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005, with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home, 1201 Fourth St., in Rosenberg. Mr. Mikolas died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at OakBend Medical Center in Richmond. He was born Aug. 14, 1935 in Richmond to parents, Theodore and Minnie Poncik Mikolas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by Schlumberger in 1961 and retired in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Doris Mikolas, of Richmond; sons, David Mikolas and wife, Stacy, of Rosenberg, and Greg Mikolas and girlfriend, Jennifer, of Humble; daughter, Stephanie Poehls and husband, Mark, of Beasley; grandchildren, Rusty and Kelly Mikolas, and Shelby and Aaron Poehls; brother, Theo Mikolas and wife, Lillie Mae, of Rosenberg; sister, Nettie Huey and husband, Gerald, of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Minnie Mikolas; along with brothers, Clarence, Alfred, and Leon Mikolas; sisters, Bessie Diehl and Lillian Poret; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeff and Joyce Fuselier. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Mikolas, Johnny Mikolas, Kelly Huey, Rusty Mikolas, Al Mikolas Jr., and Jim Weyand. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Orsak, Charles Stegemiller, and Gilbert Wittneben. Memorials may be given as mass offerings. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, Inc., 1201 Fourth St., Rosenberg, Texas, 281-342-4671.
