Vera Fay Clements, 77, of Bay City passed away December 23, 2004 at her residence. She was born December 27, 1926 in Bay City, Texas to Louis Frank Kocurek and Leona Virginia Socha Kocurek. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of the Nichols Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Odis Clements, and one sister, Ruby Shawler. She is survived by: one daughter, Connie Clements of Pearland; and by two sisters, Flossie Dreher of Bay City, and Thelma Gelber of Wharton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2004, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Don Storey officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be George Clements, Jr., Clayton Alexander, Albert Kocurek, Ryne Christensen, Bob Hooter and Rick Balsam. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2004. Memorials may be made to El Campo Hospice, 1102 N. Mechanic, El Campo, Texas 77457.
