SHAWLER Funeral services for Ruby L. Shawler, 75, of Victoria will be Thursday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at the Bay City Funeral Home Chapel. She died Monday, July 19 at Citizen's Medical Center in Victoria. She was born July 5, 1924 in Bay City to parents Louis Frank and Leona Socha Kocurek. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Shawler in 1995. She is survived by her mother, Leona Kocurek of Bay City; sons, George Clements of Victoria and James A. Shawler, Jr. of Pasadena; daughter, Mary Katherine Alexander of Yorktown; sisters, Vera F. Clements of Bay City, Flossie M. Dreher of Bay City and Thelma V. Gelber of Wharton; grandchildren, John N. Cole III of Germany, Anthony Shawler and Scott Shawler of Highlands and Clayton M. Alexander of Yorktown. Pallbearers will be Hadden Dietrich, Wallace Nini, Jr. Clements, Anthony Shawler III and Scott Patrick Shawler. Arrangements are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home.
