"Tom" Ferguson, 66, died Sunday, Sept. 3, at 12:45 p.m. in the Homer Memorial Hospital from a brief illness. Born October 1, 1906 in Indian Territory, Davis, Okla., Mr. Ferguson had lived in Homer only three years moving here from Lisbon where he was employed at Plant Superintendent of the Claiborne Gasoline Plant for many years. He was a member of Dubach Masonic Lodge. Mr. Ferguson was a member of the Lisbon Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 4 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bentley Masingill, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tom Ferguson of Homer; two sons, Perry Ferguson of Homer and John Ferguson of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Sue Tanner of Scott; three grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, P.M. Ferguson of Odessa, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Lynn Norman and Mrs. W.M. Tate, both of Sulphur, Okla., and Mrs. Bradford Moore of Hugo, Okla., and a number of nieces and nephews.
