Ennis. - Requiem Mass for Mrs. John J. Krajca, nee Julia Zissa, of 606 E. Lampasas St., Ennis, was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 in St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. David Mikeska as celebrant. The Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 in the Keever Chapel. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were George Spaniel, Joe L. Hanak, Raymond Spaniel, Al Prachyl, Tony Vitovsky, and Billy Joe Vitovsky. Mrs. Krajca died Monday morning, March 19, 1973 at the age of 70 years, one month and 11 days, in Hall Top Manor Nursing Home in Waxahachie, after a long illness. Mrs. Krajca, one of eleven children, was born February 8, 1903 at Dreyer, DeWitt County, Texas, daughter of Hynek and Frances (Holub) Zissa. Her father was a native of the Hackberry community near Sublime, in Lavaca County and her mother was born in the state of Iowa, coming to Moravia, Lavaca County, in 1876 at the age of three years. She was reared in the Dreyer community on the family farm and attended the Prairie View School. In 1920, she moved to Shiner with her parents and other family members. On January 10, 1928, she was married to John J. Krajca of Ennis and they made their home near Ennis in the Telico and Creechville communities after their marriage. Mr. Krajca died December 10, 1965, and after his death Mrs. Krajca moved to Ennis. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and KJZT Society. Surviving her are one son, Johnnie I. Krajca of Ennis; three sisters, Mrs. John (Emma) Horak of Ennis, Mrs. Frank (Albina) Janecek-Grohmann of Austin and Mrs. Ludwig (Agnes) Kasper of Fresno, Calif.; four brothers, John Zissa of Yoakum, Julius Zissa of Shiner, Louis Zissa of Westhoff, Emil Zissa of Angleton; and four granddaughters. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, June 2, 1944; her mother, June 1, 1966; two brothers, Vincent (Jim) Zissa, May 11, 1966; August Zissa, November 25, 1972; one sister, Mrs. Vincent J. (Annie) Jiral Jr., March 28, 1965.
