The birth date inscribed on her marker is incorrect. According to Cemetery Secretary (#50513012), the parish register for SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church includes a baptismal entry for Viktorie Mazanec, born November 17, 1879, the daughter of Vaclav Mazanec and Karolina Kozy. This matches the 1880 and 1900 census records, which both state she was born November 1879. Married Cyril Sajtl on June 5, 1905 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. The Rev. Wenceslaus Sladky officiated. Pallbearers were Albert Janak, Frank Sabata, Ernest Coufal, James Coufal, Adolph Polacek and Rudy Rech. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery at Bruno. Mrs. Sajtl, daughter of James and Carrie Kosa Mazanec, was born Jan. 21, 1881 in Butler County. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was married to Cyril Sajtl in David City. One son, James Sajtl of David City, survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1936.
