Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, June 17, 1976, Page 8, Column 1 Former Ord Lady Dies at Age 82 Funeral services were held on Friday for Mrs. Albina Urban in Grand Ledge, MI, with additional services Monday, 10 am at the Ord Memorial Chapel in Ord, NE with Pastor James Snyder officiating. Burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Mrs. Urban died June 9, 1976 at Lansing, MI. She was 82 years old. Mrs. Urban was born May 26, 1894 in Geranium Township in Valley County Nebraska to John and Katie Hosek Valasek. Her early life was spent on a farm in Geranium Township with her parents where she attended rural school. Albina was united in marriage to John Urban, Sept. 23, 1920 at Ord. They made their home on a farm in the Olean district of Valley County. Mr. Urban died in 1951. In 1958, Mrs. Urban moved to Grand Ledge, MI where she made her home with the John Mikeskas. While in Ord she was a member of the first Christian Church, the Rebecca Lodge and the ZCBJ Lodge #14. Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Eta Mae Pesha of Wibauz, MT and Mrs. Dorothy Sich of Ord; also five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother, her husband and two grandsons.
