CATHOLIC RITES HELD AT ORD FOR JENNIE E. GREENWALT, 78 Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Ord for Jennie E. Greenwalt. Mrs. Greenwalt, 78, died Aug. 4 at the Valley County Hospital. Father Stanley Gorak officiated at the 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass. Special music was by Mrs. Audrey Novosad and Mrs. Dee Meese with Mrs. Elsie Furtak as organist. Stanley Absalon, Albert Parkos, Louie Greenwalt, Ed Blaha, Ed Penas and John Iwanski were pallbearers. Interment was in the St. Paul cemetery. Recitation of the rosary was Friday evening at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Greenwalt was a native of Valley County, born Sept. 20, 1892 in Geranium Township. She and Cashmere Greenwalt were united in marriage June 7, 1926 at Sargent. Her entire life was lived in Valley County with the exception of a few years when the Greenwalts resided in St. Paul. After her husband's death in 1951 she returned to Ord. In recent years she had made her home with the Bill Wozniaks and for the past two years had been a resident of the LeBow Rest Home. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Survivors are three step-daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Wozniak of Ord, Mrs. Theresa Dymek of Ashton and Mrs. Barbara Matousek of Grand Island; two step-sons, Edward Greenwalt of Scotia and Anton Kwarcinski of Rockville and six step-grandchildren.
