Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, April 28, 1966, Page 4, Column 4 Frances Urban, 75, Dies In California; Burial Was April 23 Services for Mrs. Frances Urban, 75, were held at the Hastings-Pearson Chapel, Saturday at 2 pm with the Rev. John Nordgaard officiating. Mrs. Urban died April 18 in the Community Hospital at Santa Ana, Calif. She had been a patient there for ten days. Burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Mrs. Urban, a daughter of John and Katie Hosek Valasek, was born Aug. 24, 1890, in Geranium Township. She married Charles Urban, Dec. 31, 1908, in Ord. She lived her entire life in Valley County until four years ago when she moved to California. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Meyer, Santa Ana, Cal.; and Mrs. Tillie Vasicek, Denver, Colo., eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Those preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, one brother and two sisters.
