Fort Bend Herald, Mary 20, 2013: The last waltz has been danced, the shuffling of dominoes has stilled and the polka music has faded. He served in the National Guard, was a long time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a life member in the Texas Ten Pin Bowling League, and served as president of the Rose-Rich Men's Bowling Association. He played softball for many years and also umpired teen and men's baseball. He was a member of award winning cook-off teams for many years. During his life Charlie was an avid deer hunter, a master plumber, journeyman electrician, owner and operator of a local night club, The Jungle Gardens, owner of Poor Boy Roofing Company, and electrician for LCISD. After retirement, he could be found playing dominoes, working in his garden, listening to Polka music, splitting wood for the Holy Rosary Church Bazaar, or mowing the church property. He always had a smile and a wave for those who passed by. Charlie was known for his deep faith, love of family, strong work ethic and for his love of joking around. He will be missed by all whose lives were touched by him. Please tell a joke or make someone laugh in tribute to Charlie and a life well lived!
