Bio

After graduating high school in Goodlett, Texas, Oleta went to live with her aunt and uncle in Stillwater to attend what is now Oklahoma State University. There she met fellow student K.C. Bennett, and they were married on May 19, 1935 at the Methodist parsonage. They lived in Wetumka and Shawnee, then moved to Miami in 1947, where she worked for the Oklahoma unemployment office until retiring in 1974. Oleta and K.C. had one child, Rita Bennett Bollinger (1939-2015).
