The Evening Republican Columbus, Indiana Tuesday, June 29, 1982 Hettie Orene Thompson, 41, of 1306 E. Road 850S, died at 2 p.m. Monday at Bartholomew County Hospital after a lengthy illness. She retired from Sap's Foods because of ill health and attended Jonesville Christian Church. Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. William Burnside, the Rev. Michael Johnson and the Rev. Vernon Shepherd at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home, where persons may call from 4 until 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. Thursday until service time Burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in Russell County, Ky., Dec. 13, 1941, the daughter of Otha and Sophie Simpson Yeadon. Survivors include a son, Coy Wayne Thompson, and a daughter, Patrice Thompson, both at home; two brothers, Arvis Yeadon of 7970 W. Road 830S, and Orval Yeadon of 14061 S. Base Line, and six sisters, Sophie Shepherd of 11700 S. Ind. 58, Carrie Burton of 664 Dawson, Mae McElroy of 3645 Jonesville, Lola Faye Burton of 534 First, Nora Wooten of 1476 E. Road 850S, and Martha Simpson of Russell Springs, Ky.
