Haddam Clipper, May, 1919 FRANTISEK CHOPP Frank Chopp was born January 5, 1839 in Radkov, Bohemia. In 1860 he married Johanna Lallak nee Stibor. In 1874 he emigrated to Republic county, Kansas, where he started in farming. In 1900 he moved to Washington county, Kansas where he lived until his death. He was always a willing worker and took pride in all his work. His wife preceded him to the great beyond January 23, 1907. He was a father of 9 children and 2 step-children of which 4 died in infancy, his son Joseph a year ago and his step-son Frank Lallak three years ago. He leaves to mourn his death three daughters, Anna Hromas of Texas, Mary Marsicek of Narka, and Tillie Kasha of Lacombe, Canada; one son John of Haddam, and step-son, Peter Lallak of Haddam, Kansas, also 40 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. The last few years he made his home with his son John, where he died May 13, 1919, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 9 days.--Haddam Clipper
