Thanks to contributor #46917206 PLATTSMOUTH — Donna L. Coufal, 75, of Plattsmouth, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. The Rev. Wendell Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Coufal was born on May 25, 1925, at Lincoln to Roy and Eulalia (Zuerlein) Bridger. She grew up and was educated in Fullerton. She worked in the local cafe and farmed with her brother, Lynn. She married Ernest Coufal on Nov. 25, 1952. They moved to Omaha, NE (near Offutt AFB), resided in Millard, NE when their children were school age, moved to Plattsmouth and resided there until her death. She spent most of her life as a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed playing the accordion, playing cards & Yahtze and gardening. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lauren Arvin of Sioux City, Iowa, and Kerry Barkman of Blue Springs, MO; two brothers, Ralph of Belgrade and Don of Central City and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lynn and one sister, Arnette Furby.
