"MRS. HENRY HOFPAR Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Hofpar, who passed away at her home in Loma last Thursday morning, November 14, following a short illness, were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Luke's Catholic church, Loma, with the pastor, Rev. Frank Leiblinger, officiating. Burial was in the Loma cemetery with Louis, Joe and Paul Hofpar, George Coufal, George Krska and Ben Osantowski as pallbearers. Mrs. Hofpar was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. Eva Feidler [sic] was born Feb. 10, 1876 in Czechoslovakia and came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benedict Fiedler, the family taking up residence in Saunders county. She was married June 21, 1896, at Weston, to Henry Hofpar. To this union were born nine children eight of whom, with their father, survive their mother. They are Paul of Loma, William and Louis of Dwight, Joseph Hofpar of Ulysses, Mrs. George (Bessie) Krska of Ulysses, and Mrs. Ben (Anna) Osantowski of David City. One daughter Minnie, preceded her mother in death. Mrs. Hofpar also leaves fourteen grandchildren, three brothers and seven sisters.
