Thanks to contributor #47247306; Mrs. Sophie Sliva, a resident of Columbus sice 1936, died Saturday evening at Morys Haven where she had been cared for the last three years. She was 77. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic church, the Rev. Armand Lubanski officating, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery. Rosary will prayed at 8 p.m.today at the Gass Funeral home where the body lies in state. Members of St. Theresa sodality will pray the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Silva was born at Tarnov on May 26, 1884, the daughter of John & Anna Zoucha. She was married Mike Sliva on Sept. 26, 1900 at Tarnov. He preceded her in death June 17, 1948. She was a memeber of St. Anthony's parish and St. Theresa Sodality. Surviving are three sons, Joseph and Phillip of Columbus, Raymond of Bellwood: six daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) Zoucha of Monroe, Mrs. Charles (Cecilia) Vetick of Fullerton, and Mrs. Adolph (Marcella) Drog and Mrs. Frank(Minnie) Gonka of Columbus, Mrs. Frank (Leona) Podraza of Chicago and Mrs. Joe (Clara) Koziol of Lincoln. Two surviving brothers, Joe E. Zoucha and Charles Zoucha of Columbus. Other survivors include 38 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. John Zoucha of Genoa. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons and two brothers, Tom and John Zoucha.
