Bio

Charles Zoucha will be buried following 9:30 a.m. rites at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery at Tarnov. Officiating will be Rev. Armand Lubanski. Mr. Zoucha died Monday at University Hospital. His body is now lying in state and rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight at McKown Funeral Home. Born, April 15, 1873 in Tarnov, Poland to John Zoucha and Catherine Kaminski Zoucha, he came to the United States at the age and lived in the Tarnov community where he was a farmer. He moved to Columbus. In Columbus in 1933 and since lived with his children. His marriage to Pauline Barnes occurred in November 1898 at Tarnov. Survivors include sons, Louis & Florian of Omaha, Dominic of Pittsburg, CA; daughters, Mmes. Florian (Bell) Placzek, Joe (Anna) Urkoski, both of Columbus, Joe (Mary) Zoucha, Tony (Cecilia) Lassek, both of Omaha, Andrew (Barbara) Urkoski of Silver Creek; 43 grandchildren; 104 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother, Joe E. of Columbus; sister, Mrs. Anna Zoucha of Genoa. Preceding him in death were his wife his Pauline Barnas Zoucha in 1928; son, Joe; daughters, Josephine and Theresa. - March 25, 1971 Zoucha Rites- Last rites for Charles J. Zoucha, 97 who died Monday in Omaha, were held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church with Rev. Armand Lubanski officiating. Burial was at St. Michael's Cemetery in Tarnov with Fr. Leonard Ficenee officiating at the graveside service. Pallbearers were six grandsons; Charles Zoucha, Eugene T. Zoucha, Robert J. Lassek, Ronnie Urkoski, Kenneth Urkoski and Ambrose E.
