[St. Edward Advance, Thursday Sept. 4, 2014] SERVICES HELD FOR MARCELLA A. DROG Marcella A. Drog of Gresham, Oregon, the daughter of Michael and Sophie (Zoucha) Sliva was born January 7, 1914 in Platte Center. She passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at the age of 100. She received her education in Tarnov. In 1936, she married Adolph Drog. They enjoyed 57 years together before his passing in 1993. They had three children, two preceded her in death. Mrs. Drog worked at Dale Electronics in Columbus for 11 years. Mr. and Mrs. Drog moved to Portland, Oregon in 1970. She loved to cook, enjoyed helping out at St. Anne Church and Loaves & Fishes. She is survived by her son, David Drog of Portland, Oregon; sister, Leona Podraza of Mission Viejo, California; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Rosary Prayer service was held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Gresham, Oregon. Funeral services followed at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Drog will be cremated and aid to rest with Mr. Drog in Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Happy Valley, Oregon.
