Bio
Daughter of Emil & Anna (Hladky) Sloup. She grew up in Garrison and graduated from David City High School. On January 6, 1945, Emily was united in marriage to Robert Nordmeyer in Papillion. She returned to school at UNL where she recieved her teaching certificate. She taught in a country school around Garrison for a few years before raising the family on the farm outside of Rising City. She moved to Columbus in 1990. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus, the Ladies Aid Society, Missionary Society, and loved to play bridge.
