7th child of Thomas Isaac Strawther and Mary Etta Franklin of Newton County, Texas. Married first, Luther Bryant Mock on Feb 14 1940 and one daughter, Mary Dorise (Doris) Mock Married second, Floyd Long on Feb 24 1947 and one daughter Phyllis Dorinda Bonita Long (deceased) Married third, Clarence Rusell on Aug 7 1981, divorced. No children. ∼ CARROLLTON, Ky.-Agnes Strawther Long, 88, of Carrollton, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky. A memorial service was held at Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God in Bedford, Ky. Cremation was chosen; she will be laid to rest with her husband in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, Texas, at a later date. Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Long was born on Aug. 3, 1924, to the late Thomas Isaac and Mary Etta Franklin Strawther in Buna, Texas. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God in Bedford. She loved spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals for them. Mrs. Long was a people person who never met a stranger; she loved to sew, fish, play bingo, travel, and even travel to Canada with her family. Survivors include her children, Wanda F. (Huey) Buxton of Vidor, Texas, Doris (Bobby Dean) Miller of Carrollton, Patsy O'Dell of Carrollton, Katherine (Bobby R.) Walls of Taylorsville, Ky., Daniel Long of Houston, Texas, Deborah Flickinger of Hartford, Conn.; her sister, Bernice Berry of Call, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Her parents; her husband of 34 years, Floyd Long; a daughter, Bonita Long; two sisters; and four brothers preceded her in death—7th child of Thomas Isaac Strawther and Mary Etta Franklin of Newton County, Texas.
