Bio

Virginia Catherine (Haile) Young was the daughter of Mead Jackson Haile and Livy Ann Cavin. She married Lorenzo Dowell Young on 28 Feb 1867 in Grayson Co, TX. They moved frequently and are NOT located in the same county for any two census records. They moved to Chaves Co, NM by 1910 and then moved to Bailey Co, TX when their daughter Minnie Ann Young and her husband Andrew Jackson DeBord moved from NM to Bailey Co, TX. Both Virginia Catherine Haile and Lorenzo Dowell Young are buried in unmarked graves in the Hurley Cemetery. Virginia Catherine Haile died in 1928 and Lorenzo Dowell Young died in 1924. Cemetery records: "Mrs. V. C. Young, d. 1928;" there is another record for "V. C. Young, d. 1924." Lorenzo Dowell Young's TX DC confirms he died in 1924, so Virginia Catherine died in 1928. Their daughter was Minnie Ann Young; I was told they also adopted Lonnie, orphaned nephew of Lorenzo.
