Daughter of John H. and Penelope Sonner. Married Leonard M. Copenhaver 14 AUG 1879 in Shelby County, Missouri by S. S. Patton, Justice of the Peace. Maiden name sometimes spelled SUNNER. ~~~~~~~ Obituary, Macon, Macon County, MO newspaper: Mrs. Matilda Copenhaver, 42, died 5 February 1905 at her home in Macon from paralysis. She was the widow of Len Copenhaver whose death occurred 25 January 1905. She is survived by three sons and a daughter all residing in Macon.
