Bio

Last name was orginally spelled SZAWICA. Daughter of John & Hedvigis (Rzepa) Szawica Born in Pogorski Wola, Poland. Her mother Hedvigis died Sept. 6, 1866 when she was abt 12. Her father, Jan and her siblings Joseph, Sophia and Stanislaus came to the United States on the ship S.S. Wieland departing from Hamburg in April of 1877 when she was abt 23. She married in July 1877 almost immediately upon arriving in Platte county to John Jaworski and died at age 30, Jan 14, 1884 after becoming the mother to 4 children. Jaworski died Jan. 17th 11 o'clock, at her residence in Burrows precinct this county, of typhoid pneumonia. ==================================== Survivors when she died were her husband and four children: Anthony, age 5, Sophia, age 4, Mary, age 2 and Andrew, age 1 year and 2 months.
