Born in the village of Slavetice, town of Hrotovice, county of Znojmo, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). Hlavac families at the Catholic cemetery is nearly completed. It is build of cast cement, lined with marble, and will accommodate six caskets. ''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), May 7, 1925, p. 7, col. 3 Bruno John Koza, who died at his home in Bruno on April 26, after illness of several months, due to cancer, was born in Hratovice, Moravia, June 24, 1866. Funeral services for Mr. Koza were held in the Bruno Catholic church Wednesday morning, April 29, Rev. Father Bauer officiating. After the Requiem High Mass the body was [ taken ] to the Catholic cemetery and placed in the Koza and Hlavac family burial vault. The pallbearers were Frank Husak, Edward Husak, Frank Chmelka, Ludvic Koza, Frank Mazanec and Frank Sabata. The funeral was attended by a very large number of relatives and friends and there were many beautiful floral offerings. Mr. Koza was held in high esteem by the community. He is survived by his wife, and five grandchildren, Wilhemina, Celestine, Klothilda, Edward and Gerald Hlavac. Mrs. Frances Chmelka and son, Fred, from Agnew, and Mrs. Katherine Mazanec of Brainard are in attendance at the funeral. The funeral took place Wednesday morning, from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Bauer officiating. After the requiem Mass, the body was taken to the Catholic cemetery, and placed in the Koza-Hlavac family burial vault. The pall-bearers were Frank and Edward Husak, Frank Chmelka, Ludvic Koza, Frank Sabata. A very large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral and there were many beautiful floral offerings. Mr. Koza was held in high esteem by the community He is survived by his wife, one son-in-law, E. F. Hlavac and five grand children. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved.
