Fort Bend Herald, February, 7, 2008: Funeral services for Lona Mae Nordt, 84, of Needville, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pastor Mark Yelderman will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2008 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Lona Mae was born February 21, 1923 in Needville to Thomas F. and Mattie Isabelle (Nichter) Nawara. She lived in Needville and Rosenberg communities eight decades with interruption of World Word II. Lona Mae was a member of Creekside Christian Fellowship of Needville. She passed away February 6, 2008 in Sugar Land. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 60+ years, Raymond Nordt; parents, Thomas and Mattie Nawara; sister, Elenora Record; and brother, Calvin Nordt. Lona Mae is survived by her: sons: Richard Nordt and wife, Paula, Davis Nordt and wife, Margie; and grandchildren: Dustin, Eric, Rachel, Marlo and Marcie Nordt. Her life as a youth, wife, mother, grandmother, and senior was a testimony of that faith.
