Bio

Leslie Landon Hensley was born November 6, 1909 at Crawford, Oklahoma and passed away November 24, 1990 at the age of 81, in Pampa, TX. He moved from the farm where he was born and reared to the present home, Durham, in 1957. He was married to Kate Jones in December of 1936 at Cheyenne, Okla. She died in 1946. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Durham. Survivors include: 3 sons, Marvin Hensley, of Pampa, TX, Wilbur Hensley, of Perryton, TX, Morris Hensley of Killeen, TX; 1 daughter, La Nella Hensley, of Pampa, TX; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Durham with Rev. Howard Whiteley, pastor of Pampa Chapel of Apostolic Faith officiating. Burial was in Farivew Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, under the direction off Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
