Fremont Tribune - (Feb/8/2006) Alice E. Ladenburger, 91, of Fremont, formerly of Morse Bluff, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. She was born Jan. 4, 1915, in rural Morse Bluff to James and Elizabeth (Polivka) Franta. She lived all her life in the Morse Bluff area until moving to Fremont in August 1996. She was a 1932 graduate of Prague High School. She had been residing at Arbor Manor for the past two months. Alice Franta married Ernest J. Ladenburger on Jan. 31, 1938, in Prague. He died Nov. 19, 1996. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church at Morse Bluff and a 50-year member of the Catholic Workmen. Survivors include: three sons, Gary (and wife, Charlene) Ladenburger of North Bend, Robert (and wife, Cindy) Ladenburger of Fremont and Dan Ladenburger (and special friend, Becky Getzschman) of Bennington; five daughters, Loretta (Mrs. Jack) Kloke of North Bend, Joan (Mrs. Kenny) Loeffler, Dorothy (Mrs. Dan) Parr and Betty (Mrs. Stephen) Boothe, all of Fremont, and Jan (Mrs. Jim) Poulas of Ames; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and a granddaughter. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. George Catholic Church in Morse Bluff with Msgr. Raymond Hain officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m., all at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Burial will be in Killian Cemetery near Morse Bluff. A memorial has been established to St. George Catholic Church in Morse Bluff.
