"Dorothy J. Parr, 72 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont. Dorothy was born February 6, 1945 to Ernest and Alice (Franta) Ladenburger in Fremont. She grew up on a farm near Morse Bluff, NE, and graduated from North Bend, NE High School in 1963. After graduation, she moved to Fremont, NE. She married Dan Parr on October 30, 1968 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Caring for their children occupied most of her time. She also spent her time running a daycare out of her home while her children and grandchildren were growing up, until her retirement in 2014. Dorothy loved gardening, and growing plants and flowers. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Dan; daughter, Darcy (Ryan) Dorfmeyer of Fremont; sons, David (Jaime) Parr of Grand Island, NE, Chad (Tracy) Parr of Fremont, Nathan (Wendy) Parr of Fremont; sisters, Loretta (Jack) Kloke of North Bend, Joan (Ken) Loeffler of Fremont, Janice (Jim) Poulas of Ames, NE, Betty (Steve) Boothe of Fremont; brothers, Gary (Charlene) Ladenburger of North Bend, Bob (Cindy) Ladenburger of Fremont, Dan (Becky) Ladenburger of Bennington, NE; and 6 grandchildren, Hayli, Collin, Jasmine, Kenni, Sophie, and Alice. She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Tiffany Ladenburger. Funeral Mass will be 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Fr. David Belt will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial may be designated to: Archbishop Bergan Schools." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
