Bio

Eudora was the daughter of Anna P. Reynolds and John R. Crump. Granddaughter of James A. and Sarah Radiken Crump of Lexington, MO and Charles Reynolds and Martha Campbell Reynolds Smith. She was the wife of William Creed Voyles. C. Voyles Friday Night Following an illness of 3 weeks' duration Mrs. W. C. (Creed) Voyles, 53, well known and beloved Greenville woman died at her home 3210 Templeton-ave at 11:58 o'clock Friday night. Mrs. Voyles' death came as a severe shock to members of the family and hundreds of friends. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Park-st Baptist church conducted by the Rev. M. C. Franklin, pastor of Central Christian Church, and the Rev. Joseph Pearce, pastor of Park-st church. Burial will be in East Mount cemetery. Pall bearers will be Charles Morris, Allie Morgan, Altee Winton, Melvin Hamilton, Verna Smith and Bob Anderson. Mrs. Voyles, nee Miss Eudora Elizabeth Crump was born on November 22, 1879 on Moore's Prairie in Hunt county and had been a resident of this county her entire life. She was married to W. C. (Creed) Voyles on Dec. 16, 1900 and to this union one child was born, Garnett May who was born on July 27, 1903 and died on January 13, 1919 at the age of 15. At the age of fourteen Mrs. Voyles professed religious faith and united with the Baptist church at Shady Grove. Throughout the remainder of her life she was a faithful servant of the Master and an active church worker, happy in aiding to advance the flag of Christianity. She was a splendid woman possessed of many outstanding traits and had hundreds of friends who held her in deep admiration. She was a member of Park street Baptist church at the time of her death. Surviving are her husband, her mother, Mrs. Anna Crump who resided with her and six brothers, C. L. Crump of Fort Worth, Irving Crump of Paducah, Texas, Ira Crump of Delone, California, Eddie Crump of Lamesa, Texas, Claud H. Crump of Hobbs, N. M., and Ray E. Crump of Ralls, Texas. Other relatives also survive to mourn her death.
