The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebr.), September 28, 1972, p. 7A, col. 7 Mrs. Frances Hoffman dies at Arbor Manor Mrs. Frances Hoffman, 87, Linwood, died Sept. 20 at Arbor Manor Nursing Home, Fremont, where she had resided the past four years. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at ZCBJ Hall, Linwood. Rev. Richard Hovis officiated and interment was in Linwood Hill Cemetery. George C. and Bozena Novotny sang the hymns. Svoboda Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Edward Stejskal, Frank Dvorak, Vernon Janovec, Daryl Mares, Edward and Leo Kucera. The daughter of Anton and Frances (Beranek) Stejskal, she was born Feb. 3, 1885 in Linwood, and attended Butler County Rural Schools. On Oct. 27, 1903 she was married to Frank Hoffman at Wahoo. They made their home in the Linwood area. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1965. She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge, Linwood. Survivors include two sons, Albin, Linwood, Robert, Arlington Heights, Ill., three daughters, (Clara) Mrs. Raymond Janovec, Cedar Bluffs, (Blanch) Mrs. Loy Zeller, Morse Bluff, and (Mildred) Mrs. Tim J. Spencer, Tucson, Ariz.; half brother, John Stejskal, Columbus, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were one brother and one sister.
