Bio

Longtime Snyder resident Geneva McKinley Burk, passed away on Saturday October 13, 2012 at Snyder Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. Services for Mrs Burk will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at East Side Church of Christ with Mr. Lindley Hagler and Mr. Tom Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the directions of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 PM Monday night at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Burk was born January 22, 1928 in Gilmer, Texas to Buford and Ophelia (Shaw) McKinley. She married Herbert McKinley July 22, 1946 in Gilmer, Texas. They moved to Snyder in 1950 and opened McKinley plumbing Company. They were in business until the early 1980's. He preceded her in death in 1994 after 48yrs of marriage. She later married Roy Burk in 1998 and he preceded her in death in 2010. She was a longtime member of the East Side Church of Christ in Snyder.
