'''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), October 16, 1958, p. 6, col. 6 & 7 Mrs. Emma Dolezal Dies At Age 77 Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Bruno, for Mrs. Emma Dolezal, 77, lifelong resident of the Bruno community, who died at the David City hospital Wednesday, Oct. 1, after an illness of one week. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Kopecky offered the Requiem High Mass at nine o'clock. Music was by the church choir, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. James G. Miratsky. Pallbearers were Edward Polacek, Louis A. Polacek, Edwin Palensky, Donald Palensky, James L. Proskovec and Adolph Polacek. Burial was in the church cemetery beside the grave of her husband. Mrs. Dolezal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vaclav and Frantiska Polacek, was born near Abie, Sept. 8, 1881. She was married to Josef Dolezal of Bruno, October 13, 1903, in St. Anthony's Church at Bruno. Three children were born to them. Two sons, Fred and Alois, preceded their mother in death. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Tillie) Palensky and Mr. Palensky. Besides her husband and two sons she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, James, John, Frank and Anton Polacek. Surviving her are her daughter, Mrs. Palensky, two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Kouma of Dwight and Mrs. Mary Palensky of Minor, N. Dakota; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends attending the services from away were from Surprise, Dwight, Valparaiso, Lincoln, Brainard, Bellwood and North Dakota. __ p. 9, col. 6 CARD OF THANKS- We wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all our relatives and friends for the mass offerings and sympathy shown us at the time of the death of our beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Emma Dolezal.
