Her gravestone inscription states she died April 26, 1904 but her obituary gives April 27 as the date. Birth year calculated from age at death. '''''''''' People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), May 5, 1904, p. 4, col. 2 Bruno Items Mrs. Wencil Polacek died very suddenly on Wednesday morning, April 27, at her home about three miles east of Bruno. Mrs. Polacek got up in the morning in her usual health and was attending to her household work when she gave way and fell to the floor. Medical assistance was summoned but to no avail, for in a few short moments she had departed this life. Funeral services were held in Bruno on Friday, the services being conducted by Rev. Father Klein assisted by Father Pokorny of Abie. Remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery here. The funeral was largely attended by neighbors and friends who come to pay their last respects to the memory of the deceased.
