Son of James and Catherine Hodges Timmins Lewis Garland Timmins, 79, died unexpectedly Sunday noon at his home, 611 Laramie. Mr. Timmins had lived in this area for the past 40 years and was a retired farmer. He was born February 6, 1879, in Ft. Scott, Kan., and married Florence E. Eggelhaff on September 24, 1902, in Osceola. She survives. Mr. and Mrs. Timmins moved here from Custer County and lived on a farm until 13 years ago when they moved into Alliance. He was a member of the Christian Church. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. C. C. Roth of Hemingford; by three grandchildren, Deraid Roth, who is with the U. S. Army in Germany, Mrs. Harry Knight and Mrs. Bob Kiester both of Hemingford; and by one great grandchild Kelley Jo Kiester, also of Hemingford.
