Mrs. Catherine Pitman, the mother of G. A. Parberry died early Monday morning at the home of her son. She was 84 years old and her death came very peacefully as the result of her age. Mrs. Parberry arose at the usual time that morning and stepped to the door as she always did the first thing to see if grandma was alright, she was sleeping quietly so the door was left open and breakfast was under way when the little boy came by that door and noticed his grandmother did not look right; Just that quickly had the spirit left the body. There was a short service at the home and the remains were laid to rest in the Forest Lawn cemetery at 3:30 pm Wednesday. November 12, 1925 Morrill Mail. Catherine Hodges (1843–1925) married Gustavus Adolphus Parberry Sr. (1832–1888) in about 1858 at Trenton, Grundy, Missouri. Catherine Hodges (1843–1925) married James Timmins (1831–Deceased) on 13 Oct 1874 at Vernon, Missouri. It is alleged that at age 72 Catherine Hodges (1843–1925) married Henry Clay Julius Pitman (1846–1920). Records show that Henry Clay Julius Pitman (1846–1920) died on 18 November 1920 in Eden Township, Seneca, Ohio. Records show that he was married to Katherine Beery (1845 – 1913). There are no records which I have found showing that he lived in Nebraska or Missouri. I did find a record which has Gustavus and Catherine’s son marrying the daughter of Samuel Franklin Kelley. Samuel Franklin Kelley (1858–1924) was married to Mary Isabell Leroy (1862–1936) on 16 Mar 1882 in Bourbon, Kansas. Contributor: Jim K (49344137)
