Bio

Martin was born in Zděchov house #119 in what is now the Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. His mother was Eva Hajdik, daughter of Jiri (George) Hajdik and Marianna Badošek. At the time of his birth, Moravia was part of the Austrian Empire. He came to Texas about 1891 and married Františka Sula in 1897 in Fayette County. After 1900, he moved his family to the Sealy-Frydek area in Austin County.
