Wadas Rites Held Monday Josephine C. Wadas was born December 23, 1912 at Elyria, Nebraska to Ignatius and Elizabeth Maslonka Urbanski and died November 12, 1982 at her home in Ord, Nebraska at the age of 69. Josephine grew up on the farm near Elyria where she attended rural school, later moving with her family to a farm northeast of Ord. She was united in marriage to Emanuel Wadas January 26, 1937 at Ord. They made their home on a farm northeast of Ord until 1978 when they retired from farming and moved to Ord. Josephine worked for about five years at the Valley County Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord and was active in the Altar Society. Survivors include her husband, Emanuel of Ord; five daughters, Mrs. Al (Theresa) Waskowiak of Grand Island, Mrs. Jerry (Leona) Bosse of Omaha, Mrs. Jim (Elizabeth) Schimick of Las Vegas, NV, Mrs. Tom (Maxine) Williams of Billings, MT and Mrs. Mick (Patricia) Hamilton of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Sonnenfeld of Ord, and Mrs. Verna Mottl of Omaha; and three brothers, Joe and Albin Urbanski, both of Omaha, and Jim Urbanski of Loup City; plus numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, November 15, 1982 at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery.
