Services Monday for Longtime Resident Services were held Monday morning at the Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Steven M. Urbanski, 55. He died Oct. 11 at Burwell after a lingering illness. Father Stanley Gorak officiated at the service and burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. The rosary was recited at Hastings-Pearson chapel at 8 P.M. Sunday. He was a native of this vicinity being born near Elyria on Jan. 23, 1908, the son of Ign and Elizabeth Maslonka Urbanski. He married Alice Vasicek at Ord, Jan. 23, 1934, and they farmed for a number of years. The past 8 years he was employed at the park by the City of Ord. He was a member of the Catholic church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors besides his wife and parents are one son, James of Loup City, one daughter, Mrs. Betty Hutkowski of Port Edwards, Wis., three brothers, James of Loup City, and Joseph and Albin of Omaha, four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Wadas of Ord, Mrs. Rose Sonnefeldt of North Loup, Mrs. Barbara Swanek of Grand Island, and Mrs. Verna Mottl, of Omaha; and five grandchildren.
