ROBERT PHILLIPS Robert Leo Phillips, 73, of 1412 Mimosa, a retired mechanic, died Monday at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Phillips was born July 23, 1900, in Plaquemine, La. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Rosebud Barracks N. 1767, Veterans of World War I. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Bill York of Central Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Phillips of Victoria; a daughter, Pauline Fontonot of Tulsa, Okla.; three sons, Bob Phillips of Beeville, Bill Phillips of Columbus and Harry Phillips of Freer; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
